The Ruling on Handshaking After Prayer

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Some people shake hands with the person to their right and left when they finish the prayer, and some say: It is forbidden. This matter is widespread among Muslims, and they say: Is there anything wrong with it?

Answer:
If Muslims meet in the row, and some of them greet each other, or they greet each other after the voluntary prayer and shake hands, then all of this is prescribed; based on the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
When two Muslims meet and shake hands, their sins fall off them just as leaves fall from a tree.إذا التقى المسلمان فتصافحا تحاتت خطاياهما عنهما كما يتحات عن الشجرة ورقها
.
As for if one of them had already greeted the other before entering the prayer, there is no need to repeat that after the prayer. And success is from Allah.
