The questioner : What is the ruling on wearing a suit for young girls from the age of one to the age of ten? And likewise, what is the ruling on wearing tight clothing for young and older girls? May Allah reward you with good.
The Shaykh : As for older women, wearing trousers and tight clothing places them under the words of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):Sahih Muslim 2128 and we seek refuge in Allah from that.
As for trousers, there is the added fact that they involve imitating men, and there is the added fact that we do not feel safe from those who want this country, which is conservative in its religion, to strip away its morals, just as some other countries have stripped away theirs. We do not feel safe from these people bringing us women's trousers made of the same material as women's skin, in its thinness, and this trouser being tight so that when a woman wears it, she becomes as if she is completely naked, because we know that the people of evil want to corrupt the people of good with everything they can.
We ask Allah to protect us from their evil and to turn their plots back upon their own throats.
So trousers are forbidden, in our view, from two angles. The first angle is that they involve imitating men. The second angle is their tightness.
The third angle is that they are a means to a great harm, the extent of which only Allah (Mighty and Majestic) knows.
As for dressing young girls in such clothing, it is lesser, but there is a harm in it. This harm is that if a woman gets used to this clothing while she is young, modesty is removed from her, and she becomes indifferent to her 'awrah (the part of the body that must be covered) being revealed by sight or by size. She gets used to this clothing, and in the end, she remains with it even if she reaches maturity. Yes.
The questioner : May Allah reward you and bless you. This is a questioner for the program, a female questioner S N M from al-Qassim, who says: O honorable Shaykh.
The Shaykh : As for older women, wearing trousers and tight clothing places them under the words of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
Two are the types of the denizens of Hell whom I did not see: people having flogs like the tails of the ox with them and they would be beating people, and the women who would be dressed but appear to be naked, who would be inclined (to evil) and make their husbands incline towards it. Their heads would be like the humps of the bukht camel inclined to one side. They will not enter Paradise and they would not smell its odour
As for trousers, there is the added fact that they involve imitating men, and there is the added fact that we do not feel safe from those who want this country, which is conservative in its religion, to strip away its morals, just as some other countries have stripped away theirs.
