(Explanation that the Mu'attilah nullified the texts and their danger to the religion, and the analogy of the woodcutter with the orchard and the meaning of the pickaxe) But the calamity is from the woodcutter

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :"But the calamity is from the woodcutter who cuts down *** the plantings and strikes the walls"
He says: There is another calamity besides the matter of the well, and that is this one who cuts down the trees and demolishes the walls, the woodcutter who cuts down the plantings and strikes the walls. By this he means these Mu'attilah who destroyed these texts by cutting them down and demolishing the walls, until their orchard was no longer praiseworthy nor possessed of trees.
"With the pickaxe he strikes the roots of the plants *** so that he uproots them, and he thinks he is doing a favor"
He means: This woodcutter strikes with the pickaxe, and the pickaxe is the plural of axe, the roots of the plants until he uproots them, and no root or branch remains in them.
