The questioner : My mother passed away twenty years ago, and she did not fast the entire month of Ramadan due to the circumstances of childbirth. I am now confused: is it obligatory for me to make up this month? And is there an expiation, and would that be done on her behalf?

The Shaykh : It has not become clear to me from the question whether the woman made up the fast or not? And was she in a state where recovery was not expected, so she fed people, or not?
