And my fear is not of sins, for they are *** upon the path of pardon and forgiveness (Explaining Allah's pleasure and His forgiveness for His servants, and His pardon of them, and explaining that the reality of fear is the departure of faith from the heart)

The Shaykh : (may Allah have mercy on him) says, (may Allah have mercy on him):
"And my fear is not of sins, for they are *** upon the path of pardon and forgiveness"
Yes, sins are easy compared to what is greater than them, as the author mentions, because they are upon the path of pardon and forgiveness, upon the path of forgiveness from Allah as a favor and grace.
Indeed, Allah does not forgive association with Him, but He forgives what is less than that for whom He wills إن لا يغفر أن يشرك به ويغفر ما دون ذلك لمن يشاء
[An-Nisa 4:48]
Allah the Exalted may bestow upon a person with a single word of His pleasure, and by that word He reaches His pleasure. A single word:
good deeds do away with misdeeds الحسنات يذهبن السيئات
[Hud 11:114]
A woman entered Paradise and was forgiven because she gave water to a panting dog from thirst. It is a small action. So sins, in reality, as the author said, are upon the path of pardon and forgiveness. But the fear to be wary of is the departure of faith from the heart. This is what is greatly feared, and a person must be on guard against it. May Allah protect us and you from it. This is what you must beware of: that faith departs from your heart. This is what we ask Allah to remove from us and from you, and to keep it far from us and from you.
