If food containing onions is served to him, should he eat it and not attend the congregational prayer, or should he not eat it?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : If the time for prayer is near, and a man is served food that contains onions and garlic, and the things the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade... we tell him: do not eat from it, or should he eat and not attend the prayer?

The Shaykh : What do you say? If food containing onions is served to a man, do we say: do not eat from it, or do we say: eat, but do not attend the prayer? It appears that we say: yes, we say: eat, but do not attend the prayer, because you did not eat in order to avoid attending; rather, you ate out of desire. And if you do that, you are forbidden from attending the mosque so as not to harm the people. This is the closest view. Yes.
