The Meaning of the Saying of Allah the Exalted: "And when the seas are made to boil. And when the graves are turned upside down."

[Al-Infitar 82:4] "Turned upside down" means plowed up, and what is in them will come out. This is like the saying of Allah the Exalted: [Al-'Adiyat 100:9-10] These graves, which are now covering their inhabitants, will be turned upside down on the Day of Resurrection, and people will come out of them as if they were scattered locusts. Their feet will be bare, their bodies naked, and their hearts... their hearts... what are they? Trembling. Their eyes will be humbled, meaning they will not be able to imagine this scene. "While a person sees himself as a reporter in it *** until he sees a report from the reports".
You are now reporting and speaking about those who came before you, but one day you will be the report, and people will speak about you. This is the truth of certainty, and as I told you, there is nothing between us and it but death. Do you not have fathers? Answer, everyone. And mothers, and brothers, and sisters, and wives who have died? They have become as if they never existed on earth, as if they never existed, and they have gone with their deeds. If good, then good; if evil, then evil. Therefore, a person must think for a moment, be alone with himself, and say: "I was born and created on earth, and before that, I was nothing mentioned. One of us, a year before being born, was nothing mentioned. Then Allah created us in this world, commanded us and prohibited us, and informed us. Some people became arrogant against the truth and lied about the truth. Some people were guided to acceptance. We ask Allah to make me and you among those who were guided to acceptance, among those who believed in Allah and His Messenger and did righteous deeds that please Him regarding us."
And when the seas are erupted
وإذا البحار فجرت(21) No! When the earth has been leveled - pounded and crushed - (22) And your Lord has come and the angels, rank upon rank,
كلا إذا دكت الأرض دكا دكا وجاء ربك والملك صفا صفا(1) When the sky breaks apart (2) And when the stars fall, scattering, (3) And when the seas are erupted
إذا السماء انفطرت وإذا الكواكب انتثرت وإذا البحار فجرتAnd when the [contents of] graves are scattered,
وإذا القبور بعثرت(9) But does he not know that when the contents of the graves are scattered (10) And that within the breasts is obtained,
أفلا يعلم إذا بعثر ما في القبور وحصل ما في الصدورO Messenger of Allah, will the men and women be naked? He said: Yes. The matter is too great to be discussed.
