The Shaykh :[At-Tawbah 9:64] From where does it descend? - Answer, O man - From Allah, Mighty and Majestic, the Knower of what is in hearts, the Knower of secrets, to whom nothing is hidden on earth or in the sky. Allah the Exalted said: [At-Tawbah 9:64] Whatever you conceal and whatever you keep secret of the disbelief you possess, Allah the Exalted will bring it out and make it clear, exposing you. What did they say? [At-Tawbah 9:65] Do you know what they said? It is reported in the athar that they used to talk among themselves, saying: We have not seen like our reciters, these people. They meant by this the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) and his Companions , meaning they ate the most. Meaning they lied a lie . So they described them with these three things: eating a lot. Second: yes, lying with their tongues. Third: cowardice in battle. By Allah, these descriptions apply exactly to whom? To the hypocrites. She threw her disease at me and then slipped away. This applies exactly to the hypocrites. And they used to say: [Al-Munafiqun 63:7]. And they used to say: [Al-Munafiqun 63:8]. What did Allah say about their first statement? [Al-Munafiqun 63:7] Up to here is for the cause, not for the limit. The meaning is: Do not spend on them for the sake of their dispersing from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family). By Him in whose hand is my soul, the Companions of the Messenger will not disperse from him even if they die in his place, as that actually happened. For this reason, when the envoy of Quraysh at the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah said: I see around you a rabble who will soon leave you, Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) said to him: . . Al-Lat is an idol of Quraysh, and bazar is her vulva. He mocks it and makes fun of it. Shall we leave the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family)? And so with courage. Shall we leave the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)? And we hope that Allah the Exalted will allow us to say to whoever said that you will leave the Sunnah: Suck the vulva of Satan. Shall we leave the Sunnah? If Allah wills, we ask Allah to keep us firm upon it. Good. The news came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) that they were saying this speech: What? . And they used to say: [Al-Munafiqun 63:7]. And they used to say: [Al-Munafiqun 63:8]. They say all this, but they say it among themselves. They thought the matter would not reach the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family). And they did not know that the Knower of the unseen and the open, Lord of the worlds, knows, and He will bring down upon them the disgrace [At-Tawbah 9:65] meaning we mock, we make fun of, in the guise of idle talk, in order to cut off the road from us. Because people in the past traveled on what? On camels and on foot. So they said: We talk this talk in order to forget the hardship of the road and for the road to pass quickly for us. So Allah the Exalted said: [At-Tawbah 9:65-66]. Meaning: Do you mock Allah and His verses and His Messenger? And this interrogation is for denial and reprimand. Meaning: If you mocked anything, it was not permissible for you to mock Allah and His verses and His Messenger. Do not make excuses and say that this was idle talk and play, and that we were talking the talk of travelers to cut off the road from us [At-Tawbah 9:66] by Allah granting them true faith and pardoning what happened from them [At-Tawbah 9:66].
