Does what happened from the disbelievers in that time resemble what has happened in our day from the Russians, may Allah fight them, against our brothers in Chechnya?

The Shaykh : The second inquiry regarding this verse, these verses: Does what happened from these disbelievers resemble what is happening today from the Russians—may Allah fight them and humiliate them—against our brothers in Chechnya? Answer, everyone. Yes, because these Russians only launched this war against Chechnya because they believed in Allah, and because the oneness of Allah and the correct following of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) and his family spread among them. These disbelieving Russians and other disbelievers know that if the Muslims returned to their original religion, the one upon which their predecessors, the Companions and the Successors, were, they would have swept them away, because the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) opened up the east and west of the earth with their Islam and faith. And they swept away the kingdom of the Persians and the kingdom of the Romans. The Persians and the Romans at that time were like the Americans and the Soviets, two great powers. These Russians feared that if correct Islam spread in the Caucasus, it would destroy them. For this reason, we heard that when Allah shattered the Soviet Union, the West said, "Now we are done with communism, and our fear of it has vanished. But we still have a fear of something greater than it, which is Islam." And they were truthful in what they said. The correct Islam, the one upon which the righteous predecessors were, and by Allah, then by Allah, then by Allah, if the Muslim community applied it, it would sweep away the east and west of the earth. I say this because Allah said: What? And because of His saying, the Exalted: . But the Muslim community today is in a pitiable state: division, religious innovations, rebellion against rulers, the tyranny of rulers over their subjects, and so on. Therefore, victory has not been written for them until now. The wars have become between them and a band of Jews. How many times? How many wars? Repeatedly. And in the end, the Jews swept away a large part of the Muslims' lands. The Jews were fighting for a belief, even though it was a false belief. But those who were fighting them were fighting them with Arabness and nationalism. And therefore they did not succeed. If they had fought with Islam, applying it as a belief, in speech and in action, what? They would have certainly defeated them, because the most humiliated of Allah's servants are the Jews. As Allah, Mighty and Majestic, said: The rope from Allah is Islam; if they submit to Islam, they will have honor. Abdullah ibn Salam (may Allah be pleased with him) was from the Jews, from the rabbis of the Jews. And yet he embraced Islam and his Islam was good. Meaning, what about the others? They strengthen them and are with them, or else they are humiliated. And listen to the saying of Allah, the Exalted: What? . As for fighting face to face, no. But the address in His saying: is to the Companions who established Islam truly, in belief, speech, and action. Now, do they not fight us except in fortified villages? Answer, everyone. No. They fight us face to face. That is because our strength has weakened due to the weakness of our religion, our division, and our fragmentation. I ask Allah, the Exalted, to unite our word upon the truth, to grant us victory over our enemies, and to make us guides and guided, righteous and reformers.
