The gravity of the statement that Allah, Mighty and Majestic, is in every place.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Finally, my brothers, it is obligatory for us to believe that Allah the Exalted is above everything, and it is obligatory for us to believe that He rose above the Throne, meaning He elevated Himself above it in a special manner befitting Him. It is obligatory for us to deny the statement of anyone who says that Allah, in His essence, is in every place, and to call them to repent to Allah, Mighty and Majestic, before death overtakes them while they are upon this, upon this invalid belief. And we do not wish for them anything but what we wish for ourselves, and we do not accept for ourselves to say this statement that Allah, in His essence, is in every place. O, glorified is Allah! Allah, Mighty and Majestic, says:
They have not appraised Allah with true appraisal, while the earth entirely will be [within] His grip on the Day of Resurrection, and the heavens will be folded in His right hand وما قدروا الله حق قدره والأرض جميعا قبضته يوم القيامة والسموات مطويات بيمينه
[Az-Zumar 39:67]
How can the Lord, Mighty and Majestic, be in every place? Is He one or multiple? If we say He is in every place, it necessitates that He is multiple or that He is divided, with some of Him here and some of Him there. I ask Allah in this place and on this night to guide these people to the truth, and to uproot from their hearts that defective belief that Allah the Exalted is in every place, and that they estimate Allah with His true estimation and magnify Him with His true magnification.
