Speaking about the amount of zakat al-fitr.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and I send prayers and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, the Seal of the Prophets, and upon his family and his Companions, and upon those who follow them with excellence until the Day of Judgment.
As for what follows:
So, on this night, the night of Monday, the twenty-ninth of the blessed month of Ramadan, in the year 1421, we speak about what Allah (Mighty and Majestic) has facilitated of the rulings of the Shari'ah.
And let us begin first by drawing attention to an important point regarding what occurred in the previous lesson, which was that the amount of zakat al-fitr is one kilogram of rice or other food. The reality is that after study, deliberation, and looking into what has passed, it became clear that the closest estimate is that the amount of zakat al-fitr is two kilograms and forty grams. If a person were to be cautious and give two and a half kilograms, that would be good, because the entire matter is based on ijtihad (independent legal reasoning). We ask Allah the Exalted to guide us to the truth. I hope my brothers will draw attention to this and alert others, and say that the precaution is for the amount of zakat al-fitr to be two and a half kilograms, as a precaution and to clear one's conscience, so that there is no issue in that.
We ask Allah for acceptance for us and for our Muslim brothers, and a good return to this blessed month.
