The Ruling on Reciting al-Fatihah in Prayer

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : And its recitation in prayer is a pillar; whoever does not recite it has no prayer. It is dropped from the ma'mum if he arrives while the imam is bowing. If the ma'mum arrives while the imam is bowing, he says the takbirat al-ihram, saying "Allahu Akbar," and then he bows, and al-Fatihah is dropped from him in this case due to the hadith of Abu Bakrah, which is established in Sahih al-Bukhari, that he entered the mosque while the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was bowing, so he hurried and bowed before entering the row, then he entered the row. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) finished the prayer, he said:
Which of you did this? Abu Bakrah said: I, O Messenger of Allah. He said to him: May Allah increase your eagerness, and do not do it again.أيكم الذي فعل هذا ؟ قال أبو بكرة : أنا يا رسول الله قال له : زادك الله حرصا ولا تعد
If al-Fatihah had been a pillar in this situation, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would have ordered him to make up the rak'ah because he did not recite al-Fatihah in it. This indicates that if the masbuq arrives while the imam is bowing, al-Fatihah is dropped from him. The meaning also necessitates this, because when is the recitation of al-Fatihah? It is during standing. So if he does not catch the standing, al-Fatihah, which is only recited during standing, is dropped.
