How do we reconcile the hadith of the Night Journey, in which the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was raised up until he heard the scratching of the pens, with the hadith of Ibn 'Abbas?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : The honorable Shaykh, you mentioned that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was raised up until he heard the scratching of the pens. How do we reconcile this with his (peace and blessings be upon him) statement in the hadith of Ibn 'Abbas:
The pens have dried up and the scrolls have been folded جفت الأقلام وطويت الصحف
?

The Shaykh : We referred to the answer to this question and said that the pens whose scratching was heard are the pens used for the daily determination of affairs. Allah (Mighty and Majestic) says:
every day He is bringing about a matter. كل يوم هو في شأن
[Ar-Rahman 55:29]
The initial determination that was written in the Preserved Tablet has ended and been completed. As for the daily determination that takes place every day, that is what the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) heard the scratching of its pens.
