Did it come from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that when entering the prayer he says: “O Allah, make our standing before You good”?

The questioner : Did it come from the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) that when entering the prayer he says: “O Allah, make our standing before You good”?

The Shaykh : No, this did not come from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he used to supplicate with it when entering the prayer. Neither this nor any other supplication came from him. Rather, he (peace and blessings be upon him) would say the takbir and begin the prayer. He said to the man who is known among the scholars as the one who was deficient in his prayer:
When you get up for the prayer, perform the ablution properly and then face the Qibla and say Takbir (Allahu Akbar) إذا قمت إلى الصلاة فأسبغ الوضوء ثم استقبل القبلة فكبر
Sahih al-Bukhari 6667
and he did not mention for him any prescribed dhikr or supplication.
