Explaining the Importance of Supplicating to Allah the Exalted

The Shaykh : He said: Asking the dead to avert hardships or remove hardships is foolishness in reason and misguidance in religion. So whom do we ask? Allah. And whom do we seek help from? And whom do we call upon for aid? Allah. Everything is in the command of Allah. [Ghafir 40:44] And if you supplicate to Allah (Mighty and Majestic) with sincerity, you will certainly obtain one of three benefits. If you supplicate to Allah with sincerity, you will certainly obtain three benefits: either Allah will answer you and give you what you asked for; or He will avert from you an evil that is greater than what you asked to be removed—there may be an evil whose causes have already come together for you, and Allah will avert it from you; or He will store it up for you on the Day of Resurrection.
So when you ask Allah with sincerity, you will never be disappointed. This is while the supplication itself, supplicating to Allah, is an act of worship, as He the Exalted said:[Ghafir 40:60]
