What is the ruling on passing between a praying person and his sutrah, whether intentionally or out of necessity?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : May Allah reward you, O Shaykh. What is the ruling on one who passes between a praying person and his sutrah intentionally? What if it is out of necessity?

The Shaykh : It is not permissible for him to pass, even if he remains for forty years. We tell him, "Praise be to Allah, sit for forty years." And when the time is up, if he wants to pass, he should sit for forty years. Yes, he should not pass. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
If anyone who passes in front of a man who is praying knew the responsibility he incurs, he would stand still forty (years) rather than to pass in front of him لو يعلم المار بين يدي المصلي ماذا عليه لكان أن يقف أربعين خيرا من أن يمر بين يديه
Sahih Muslim 507a
Yes, necessity is like if a fire breaks out in the mosque and a person flees; that is a necessity. Even the one praying must flee. Yes, on the right.
