Benefits of the Verse: “Deaf, dumb, and blind, so they will not return”

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Now, among the benefits of this verse is that these people—may Allah protect us from them—have had their ears made deaf by Allah, so they do not hear the truth, and even if they did hear it, they would not benefit from it. It is permissible to negate a thing because the benefit of it is negated, as in the saying of Allah the Exalted:
And do not be like those who say, "We have heard," while they do not hear. ولا تكونوا كالذين قالوا سمعنا وهم لا يسمعون
[Al-Anfal 8:21]
.
It is also derived from this that these hypocrites do not speak the truth, like the dumb.
It is also derived from this verse that they do not see the truth, like the blind.
It is derived from this that they will not turn back from their error, because they believe that they are doing good, and that they have become companions of the believers and companions of the disbelievers. They are companions of the believers in appearance and companions of the disbelievers in reality. And whoever approves of something, he is unlikely to turn back from it. This is also a benefit, and a final benefit: that when a person approves of something, his turning back from it is far off.
