Is the mention of thunder and lightning specifically to frighten the hypocrites, or is it general?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Shaykh, is the mention of lightning and thunder specifically for the hypocrites and disbelievers, or is it absolute? The verse mentions fear; is the fact that we do not fear evidence of faith?
The Shaykh : This is a natural fear. May Allah reward you. Every person fears.
The questioner : Does no one fear the intensity of lightning unless they are in the desert?

The Shaykh : Does no one fear? No one fails to fear except the pilgrims, if what is reported about them is correct. It is said that when he besieged Makkah, Allah the Exalted sent a cloud containing thunder and lightning, and they were frightening him. He would say, "What is this? The clattering of the Hijaz," or a word to that effect. That is to say, he belittled it, may Allah protect us from that. Otherwise, by nature, a person must fear.
