What is your opinion of a verse of poetry written on a sign: "And whoever exposes himself to crows, he will drive them away, and his safety is inevitably ominous."

The Shaykh : Let the one who wrote it read it here.
The questioner : ... .
The Shaykh : But let him read what he has written now.
The questioner :"And whoever exposes himself to crows, he will drive them away *** and his safety is inevitably ominous
And every fortress, even if its safety lasts long *** upon its pillars is inevitably defeated".
The Shaykh : Fine.
This is correct. The person who exposes himself to crows and drives them away, as they used to do in the pre-Islamic age of ignorance, is considered ominous, because it is not permissible for a person to attach himself to such matters. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:Sahih Muslim 2222a.
And if a person habituates himself to taking bad omens from birds, or from months, or from days, or from people, he will be burdened, and his heart will become attached to other than Allah.
For example, some Arabs take bad omens from the month of Safar, saying: "This month is a month of misfortune." This is forbidden; this is not permissible. The times are one:[An-Nisa 4:79] So other people came and said: "We will call the month of Safar the month of good." This is also an error, because Safar is a month among the months; it is not a month of good or a month of evil, just like the others. Likewise, some Arabs take bad omens from Shawwal in marriage, saying: "If a person contracts a marriage in Shawwal, it is a failed marriage." And Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) used to refute this, saying: Did this marriage become failed or not? Answer: No, on the contrary. So the result is that it is obligatory for a person to make his heart attached to Allah, and not to take bad omens, and not to take an omen as a bad sign, and not to make himself humiliated. Whenever something happens to him, he says: "This is sorcery," "This is the evil eye," "This is a jinn," as is the case now with many people. Many people are killed by illusions in the present time. Everything is the evil eye. If he sneezes or sneezes three times, he says: "This is the evil eye." Yes. If a tremor strikes him, he says: "This is a jinn." If he dislikes a person because of words that passed between them, he says: "This is sorcery." This is wrong. It is obligatory that a person have resolve and reliance upon Allah (Mighty and Majestic), and that he stay away from these matters so that he may be at ease and put his own soul at ease. Yes, that is right.
The questioner : Okay, Shaykh, this is on a sign.
The Shaykh : The one that is.
The questioner : The two verses.
The Shaykh : Yes, do not change it; there is nothing wrong with it. This is a warning against taking bad omens from birds.
Then? Okay, and the brother Musa, who is in charge of the recording, is indicating that the time is up, and it seems he is saying: "If he says no, I will not record after this hour," is that not so? And all praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon his family and his Companions and those who follow them with excellence until the Day of Resurrection. Peace be upon you. Yes.
