What is your advice regarding those who throw religious books and good food into the trash, which is common in front of schools?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : A Shaykh frequently throws some religious books, such as books of tafsir, tawhid (the oneness of Allah), and fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence), into the trash along with impurities. This happens most often near schools. Also, some wholesome food that could be given to the poor is thrown into the trash. We seek your advice, O Shaykh. What is required of the one who sees these things? May Allah reward you with good.

The Shaykh : As for the one who throws them into the trash, and they are the Qur'an, such as a mushaf (written copy of the Qur'an) or a part of it, and his intention is to insult, this is kufr (disbelief), and there is no doubt in his kufr, because this is among the greatest insults to the Book of Allah (Mighty and Majestic).
As for the one who does it without caring, and his intention is not to insult, but the man does not care about these matters, he is not declared a disbeliever, but it is haram (forbidden) for him. It is obligatory for the one who sees the Qur'an or books containing the Qur'an thrown in the trash to pick them up from the trash and not leave them there.
Food that can be utilized must not be thrown away, neither in the trash nor in clean markets, because this is a form of denying the blessing of Allah. It is obligatory to give it in charity to the poor, because the town is not devoid of poor people, especially many workers for whom cooking every day is difficult, so you find them in need of food.
The truth is that it is obligatory for students of knowledge to make people aware of this, because people are in heedlessness, and perhaps the slightest reminder will suffice them. Yes.
And with this, this session ends, because the adhan (call to prayer) for the Zuhr (midday prayer) has been called. Until the next meeting, if Allah wills. May Allah guide us and you to what He loves and is pleased with. And the one who has a review in the book.

The questioner : O Shaykh, peace be upon you.

The Shaykh : In the 'Asr (afternoon) prayer, if Allah wills. The one who has a paper should bring it in the 'Asr at the mosque.

The questioner : O Shaykh, may you live long, we are coming from the roundabout.

The Shaykh : May Allah keep you alive.
