What is the ruling on trimming eyebrow hair if it grows long and falls over the eyes?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
His EminenceThe Shaykh : A person is bothered by the length of his eyebrow hair, as it sometimes falls onto his eyes. He is hesitant to trim or remove it because of the report regarding the cursing of the one who plucks eyebrows and the one who has them plucked. What is your guidance on this?

The Shaykh : Our guidance for this is that there is nothing wrong with trimming from his eyebrows what shades his vision and sight. The scholars of Imam Ahmad (may Allah have mercy on him) mentioned that he used to take from his eyebrows. So if he trims what bothers him, there is nothing wrong with it, and there is no issue in this. The plucking of eyebrows mentioned in the hadith is the plucking out of the hair and thinning it. As for a person simply taking what is excess hair so that it does not obstruct his vision or to remove the harm of it falling on his eyes, there is no issue in its permissibility.
