What is the ruling on seeking refuge with Allah when yawning and praising Allah when belching?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : His EminenceThe Shaykh : What is the ruling on yawning and saying "I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Shaytan" when yawning, and praising Allah when belching?

The Shaykh : It is not prescribed for a person, when he yawns, to say "I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Shaytan," because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded that when yawning, a person should hold it in as much as he can, and if he cannot, he should place his hand over his mouth. He did not guide the Ummah to say "I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Shaytan." As for the saying of the Exalted:
And if an evil suggestion comes to you from Satan, then seek refuge in Allah وإما ينزغنك من الشيطان نزغ فاستعذ بالله
[Al-A'raf 7:200]
, the meaning of "the pricking of Shaytan" here is commanding disobedience or leaving obedience. As for praising Allah when belching, it is likewise not prescribed, because belching is a known human nature. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not say, "If one of you belches, let him praise Allah." Regarding sneezing, he said:
If he sneezes, let him praise Allah إذا عطس فليحمد الله
But regarding belching, he did not say this. Yes, if it were assumed that a person is ill such that he does not belch, and then he feels that he is able to belch, then here he praises Allah, because it is a renewed blessing. Yes.
