What is the validity of the Hajj of one who does not know the three types of Hajj and only does what the people do?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : A woman asks and says: that she does not know the three types of Hajj, nor does she know what to say in the intention, and she says that she has performed Hajj five times. On the Day of Tarwiyah, she goes with the people, and when they go to 'Arafah, she goes, and to Muzdalifah, and she throws the pebbles at the pillars, but she does not have a specific intention from the three types of Hajj. She asks about the validity of her Hajj in these years?

The Shaykh : It appears that her Hajj is valid, because it is as if she is saying: I entered the state of ihram with what the people entered with, and entering the state of ihram with what so-and-so entered with is permissible, as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to 'Ali ibn Abi Talib in the Farewell Pilgrimage, and he had sent him to Yemen with Abu Musa al-Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him), and he said to him:
With what did you declare your intention? He said: With what the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) declared his intention with. He said: Since I have sacrificial animals with me, do not exit the state of ihram. بم أهللت؟ قال: بما أهلّ به رسول الله صلّى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلّم قال: فإنّ معي الهدي فلا تحلّ
, so he made it a combined Hajj. As for Abu Musa, he said that he declared his intention with what the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) declared his intention with, but because he did not have sacrificial animals with him, he ordered him to make it an 'Umrah, because tamattu' is better than qiran. So this woman, without doubt, as it appears to us, entered the state of ihram with what the people entered with, and she is saying: my path is the path of the people. But as I mentioned a moment ago, it is obligatory for a person, if he wants to perform an act of worship, whether it is Hajj, fasting, charity, or otherwise, that he learns before he proceeds. As for after he has done it, he comes and asks: what is the ruling? This is without doubt contrary to what is best. Yes.
