What is the ruling on one who passes the miqat knowingly and intentionally with the intention of resting, while intending to perform the rites, and then returns to the miqat and enters the state of ihram?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : May Allah forgive you. If one passes the miqat knowingly and intentionally, but he intended to rest, for example, if he passes the miqat of al-Qarn to al-Shara'i to rest with his relatives, and then returns to the miqat.

The Shaykh : And enters the state of ihram from there.

The questioner : And enters the state of ihram from there, and he intends to perform the rites, does he commit a sin by passing it while being knowledgeable, intentional, and mindful, or is there leniency in this matter, O Shaykh?

The Shaykh : There is leniency in this matter. It is better not to pass the miqat until he enters the state of ihram. He can rest with his relatives while in the state of ihram, and people do not see any harm, shame, or embarrassment in this. But if he does it and says, "I am going to rest, then I will return to the miqat and enter the state of ihram from there," there is no blame on him.

The questioner : The period may be long, a week or so.

The Shaykh : There is no obstacle. The important thing is that he does not pass the miqat and his intention is to return and enter the state of ihram from there.

The questioner : Is it obligatory for him to return to the miqat that he passed?

The Shaykh : It is obligatory for him to return to the miqat that he passed.

The questioner : After or before.

The Shaykh : Whether after or before, the time has ended, my brother.
