What is the ruling on one who omits sniffing water into the nose out of fear of harm to the nasal passages?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Some people do not sniff water into their noses out of fear that their nasal passages will be harmed. What is the ruling on their ablution?

The Shaykh : He does not sniff water out of fear of what?

The questioner : Out of fear that the water will harm him.

The Shaykh : Yes, the nasal passages. It is possible for water to enter the nostrils even if he does not sniff it in.

The questioner : So, is his ablution valid?

The Shaykh : Yes, as long as he knows that there is harm in it, because some people have sinuses in their nasal passages, and if water enters them, it causes them harm.

The questioner : He has no actual harm, but he is afraid, like small children.

The Shaykh : What?

The questioner : He is afraid of the water, but he does not have an illness.

The Shaykh : Small children?

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh : In any case, if it is merely a baseless fear, it is not considered.

The questioner : Is his ablution not valid?

The Shaykh : His ablution is not valid, because it is obligatory for the water to reach the inside of the nostrils. This is the obligatory part.

The questioner : Close or far?

The Shaykh : Close. This is the obligatory part. It is not required for it to reach the nasal passages. Yes.
