What is the ruling on the water written with Qur'anic verses on a board and drunk for the purpose of healing?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : In his second question, he says: I ask about the water written with Qur'anic verses on a board and drunk for the purpose of healing. Please inform me about this question. May Allah reward you with good.

The Shaykh : Some of the Salaf used to write with saffron in a vessel or something similar, then mix it with water, and the patient would drink it, and healing would result from it, if Allah wills. This falls under the general meaning of the statement of Allah, Blessed and Exalted is He:
And We send down of the Qur'an that which is healing and mercy for the believers وَنُنَزِّلُ مِنَ القُرءانِ ما هُوَ شِفاءٌ وَرَحمَةٌ لِلمُؤمِنينَ
[Al-Isra 17:82]
. Therefore, His statement, Exalted is He:
that which is healing ما هُوَ شِفاءٌ
[Al-Isra 17:82]
, encompasses both spiritual and physical healing. That is, it encompasses healing from spiritual diseases such as doubt, shirk (associating partners with Allah), hostility toward the believers, hatred of them, and the like. It also encompasses healing from physical diseases such as headaches and pain, and the like. The entire Qur'an is good, and the entire Qur'an is healing. If a person seeks healing through it in any manner and benefits from it, then this is the intended purpose.

The questioner : May Allah bless you.
