What is your advice for one who has been afflicted with sorcery and signs have appeared on him?

The questioner : In the name of Allah, all praise is due to Allah, and may peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah.
One observes the spread of sorcery, and we witness some cases that are widespread in a strange manner. There are those on whom signs appear indicating that they are under a spell, and when the verses containing references to sorcery are recited over them—if that is the correct expression—such as the story of Musa and Pharaoh and the sorcerers, there are immediate reactions to these verses. However, some people actually sometimes shy away from treatment and hesitate, and so on, and the Shaytan gains the upper hand. So the advice, O honorable Shaykh, is specifically for such people who have been afflicted and on whom such signs have appeared. May Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, make it beneficial. May Allah reward you?
The Shaykh : The advice for the general public is that I say: imagination has a great effect on the deterioration of health and the deterioration of the mind as well. Many people imagine that they are under a spell, or that they are afflicted by the evil eye, when that is not the case. But because imagination and fantasy have become so prevalent, the soul is affected and one believes it to be true, thinking that one is under a spell or afflicted by the evil eye.
First, I advise my Muslim brothers not to submit to these illusions, because these illusions are from the dictation of Shaytan. If a person is heedless and distracted from them, they will disappear by the permission of Allah, along with seeking refuge in Allah from the accursed Shaytan. But if the matter actually occurs and a person’s health is impaired, or his thinking is impaired, he should break the sorcery with the noble verses, such as the two protectors, al-Falaq and al-Nas, and the Verse of the Throne, and what Allah the Exalted mentioned regarding Musa:[Yunus 10:81] and the like, or with medicines if the sorcery is by medicines, then it is countered with other known medicines among those who treat people.
