What is the ruling on speaking while walking to the Friday prayer while the imam is delivering the sermon?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : His EminenceThe Shaykh : What is the ruling on speaking while walking to the Friday prayer while the imam is delivering the sermon?

The Shaykh : Speaking while the imam is delivering the sermon is forbidden and not permissible, whether you are in the mosque or heading toward the mosque, unless you intend to pray with another person and you pass by a mosque where the imam has arrived and begun the sermon; in that case, you are not required to listen, because you do not intend to pray in that mosque.

The questioner : If it is not clear?

The Shaykh : Even if it is not clear, but if it is not clear, there is no doubt that it is less severe, because if you listen, you will not benefit from it.
