Is it permissible to make an exception in an oath using something other than (if Allah wills), such as saying (with Allah's help, by Allah's permission)?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Shaykh, may Allah reward you: Is it permissible to make an exception in an oath using something other than "if Allah wills," for example, "by Allah's permission" or "with Allah's help"?

The Shaykh : Is it permissible?

The questioner : Making an exception in an oath.

The Shaykh : Yes.

The questioner : Is it permissible to use something other than "if Allah wills," such as "with Allah's help" or "by Allah's permission"?

The Shaykh : Yes, it is permissible. "By Allah's permission" is like "by Allah's will." However, "with Allah's help" also appears to be a delegation of the matter to Allah the Exalted, though it is less so than saying "by Allah's will" or "if Allah wills." Therefore, it is better for a person to make the exception by saying "if Allah wills" or "by Allah's will." As for "with Allah's help," it may imply delegating the matter to Allah, or it may imply that the person is certain but is asking Allah for help. For this reason, we say that making an exception with it is weak, and if a person breaks his oath with such an expression, the precaution is to expiate for his oath.
