Do you have any observations regarding the book *Madarij al-Salikin* by Ibn al-Qayyim?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Noble Shaykh, do you have any observations regarding the book *Madarij al-Salikin* by Ibn al-Qayyim?

The Shaykh : By Allah, Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on him) is too great for me and those like me to have observations on him. And although he is not sinless, the book, as you know, is an explanation of *Manazil al-Sa'irin*. The original book that is explained in it contains some observations; that is, it contains what hints at something significant in the religion. And although Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on him) apologized for it and clarified that he is innocent of what comes to mind from his words, no person is free from having some of their words taken and some left. I have not read the book from beginning to end, but I read some of its sections. Some of the sections may not be found in the book, and some slips—no one is free from these.
