His statement: (And the hadith after it) Is it to be taken in its absolute sense?

The questioner : In the hadith
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) disliked going to bed before the 'Isha' (night) prayer and indulging in conversation after it. أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم كان يكره النوم قبل العشاء والحديث بعدها
Riyad as-Salihin 1746
And conversation after it. والحديث بعدها
, many people, once a week, set aside a time after the 'Isha' prayer, meaning to exercise. Does this count as the "hadith after it" mentioned in the hadith?

The Shaykh : That is the apparent meaning, because the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) disliked conversation after it so that it would not occupy him from sleep, causing him to miss the tahajjud prayer, or to rise for the Fajr prayer without having taken his share of sleep. For this reason, he disliked conversation after it. However, the scholars have made an exception for this regarding a little conversation, conversation with a guest, and conversation with family, as all of this is what the Sunnah has brought.

The questioner : A type of amusement, ball.

The Shaykh : It is a beneficial amusement for the body, so there is no harm in it. However, there is no doubt that it is better to do this in the morning. If he does it after the sun rises or after the Fajr prayer, that is better.
