The Shaykh : And this is clear: you begin with the first act of the pilgrimage as soon as you start, because you did not come to Mecca except for this. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) tethered his camel at the door of the mosque and then performed tawaf. But in the present time, this is difficult or burdensome, because it is not possible to stop cars around the mosque. So you have to go to your place, unload your luggage, and then come with whatever is easy for you.[Al-Baqarah 2:286] In the past, we found cars stopping at the Ma'sa. And the Ma'sa, before this building was constructed, was originally a trading market with shops, buying, and selling, and there was no one there. So cars would stop at the Ma'sa with their furniture and everything, and a person would enter, complete his Umrah, then return, get in his car, and go to his house. Then I saw the Muhajireen and the Ansar doing it. And my mother informed me that she, her sister, al-Zubayr, so-and-so, and so-and-so had declared their intention for Umrah. When they touched the Corner, they exited the state of ihram.
