A man said to another at a car auction, "I will leave this car and take this amount so that I can buy it."

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : May Allah reward you. If a man said to another at a car auction, "I will leave this car and take this amount so that I can buy it"?

The Shaykh : It is the same as what we said before: it is not permissible for him, because this is like selling on the sale of a Muslim, as it prevents the car owner from increasing the price.

The questioner : Even if the other person does not want the car?

The Shaykh : No. If he does not want it, it is not permissible for him to increase the price, whether he is given compensation for it or not. That is, if a person does not want the car, it is not permissible to increase the price except for a man who sees that the price is low and that there is profit in it, so he increases it until it reaches an amount where he sees there is no profit, and then he leaves it. There is nothing wrong with that.

The questioner : Your Eminence, the Shaykh.

The Shaykh : What is it? All the questions are for you.
Is there anyone asking? Yes, ask.
