Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : May Allah reward you. A woman whose menstrual cycle stopped for six months, and after the month of Ramadan began, her cycle returned for three days, then she became pure afterward and fasted for seven days, and on this day it returned to her. Is what returned considered menstruation or irregular non-menstrual bleeding?

The Shaykh : Yes.

The questioner : And her usual cycle is five days.

The Shaykh : What returned is considered menstruation, because the correct view is that there is no fixed duration between two periods. As for the statement of some scholars that the minimum period of purity between two periods is thirteen days, that is subject to scrutiny. The correct view is that whenever she sees the blood of menstruation that she recognizes, it is menstruation, and whenever it stops, it is purity. Yes.
