Fatwa number ( 19973 )
Q: Sometimes I have days that are not part of my usual menstrual cycle (six or seven days), but this is rare. I was using a medical regulator, and my cycle was regular until I fell from a high place a few years ago.
I was in my menstrual period at the time, and the fall caused me bleeding and irregularity in my cycle, so the period exceeded the usual number of days. Sometimes I see the white discharge (white story) at the end of the menstrual period, and sometimes I do not see it. After all these things, my question is: My period came to me in the middle of Sha'ban this year and continued with me until the end of the twentieth of the blessed month of Ramadan without me seeing purity. However, after seven days from its beginning, I became pure, prayed, and the situation continued like this until the month of Ramadan entered. So I was praying and fasting and reciting the Qur'an on the assumption that my menstrual period does not exceed seven days. But during this period, the blood would suddenly stop for a day, then return in the evening, and sometimes the opposite would happen. Sometimes the amount of blood would increase. I noticed that the color and smell of the blood were not the color or smell of menstrual blood. Therefore, I did not break my fast in Ramadan, and I was praying the prayers on the basis that the period would come at the end of Ramadan as usual. But when the time for the period came at the end of Ramadan, the blood stopped completely and I became clearly pure. My question now is: What is the ruling on my fasting for the month of Ramadan and my prayers, given the situation as I described? And am I required to make up or repeat the prayers? Knowing that
as I mentioned - regarding the twenty days of Ramadan, the blood that came to me did not feel like menstrual blood, neither in its appearance nor its smell. I ask for your guidance, and may Allah reward you with good.

A : If the reality is as described, then what you did of taking a bath after the end of the usual period, and your praying and fasting, and whatever exceeded that, all of it is valid, if Allah wills; because what exceeds the days of the custom is not considered menstruation, but is considered bleeding. And Allah knows best. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and his companions.
