What is the ruling on attending some wedding parties held in wedding palaces that include singing?

The questioner : May Allah preserve you, Shaykh. Some sisters ask and say: We attend some wedding parties, and when the singing starts, we go out to the courtyard of the wedding palace and do not hear the singing. What is the ruling on that?
And is the conscience absolved if we distribute some beneficial tapes and booklets?
The Shaykh : First: We must know that singing with the hand drum on wedding nights is among the matters that are sought, but the hand drum, not the drum; the hand drum that has only one side. This was brought by the Sunnah, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded it, and it is not denied, nor is one prevented from the place where it is. But if there is music or drums, then it is necessary to disapprove. First, if they refuse, then it is obligatory to leave the place. Then, it is better to leave even the palace if possible, as a boycott of those who persisted in the sin. And if the invited woman knows that this will happen, she should not go.
