If a person is assigned to a job for a specific period and finishes before the period ends, are we allowed to take the excess assignment?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : May Allah reward you, O Shaykh: I am an employee. We employees receive assignments outside the Riyadh region to supervise the installation of computer equipment, or we receive assignments for five or six days that are counted for us. But if we work hard, we can finish it in two days, since it does not require the presence of employees, perhaps until the afternoon or at night. Is it permissible for us to take the excess assignment?

The Shaykh : If, may Allah bless you, the assignment is for a specific job, then once you finish the job, you are entitled to the assignment, even if the period is longer. As in the example you mentioned, you were assigned to install things or something else for five days, and you finished it in two days, then there is no blame on you for taking the fee that was set for you for five days. However, if it is based on time, then you must spend the full time. For example, if you are assigned to work for five days, you must work for five days. But if it is said: you are assigned to a job, then as I told you: if you complete it within the specified time or before it, there is no blame on you afterwards.
