The ruling on sleeping after the Fajr prayer

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
From the Kingdom of Bahrain, a message sent by the listener Zaki al-Din Zaki. He asks a number of questions, one of which is: Is sleeping after the Fajr prayer an act of the pre-Islamic age of ignorance?

Answer:
I am not aware of any harm in it. I am not aware of any harm or blame in sleeping after the prayer. However, sitting after the prayer to remember Allah, seek forgiveness, and recite until the sun rises is better. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to do this, so this is better. If he sleeps, there is no blame on him; I am not aware of any blame in it. This is because the original principle is that nothing is prohibited except what Allah and His Messenger have prohibited. So if a person sits in his place of prayer, remembering Allah or reciting until the sun rises, this is better, following the example of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). And if he goes out to his home or to his work, or sleeps, there is no blame in that. And praise be to Allah. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good, and may He do you good.
