What is the ruling on praying in a place that has both shade and sun?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Shaykh, may Allah reward you: What is the ruling on praying in a place where part of it is in shade and part is in the sun?

The Shaykh : Sitting between the sun and the shade is prohibited, whether in prayer or otherwise. Even if you sleep and place your head, for example, in the sun and your feet in the shade, or vice versa, you are prohibited from doing so. However, if you are standing and praying, and the shade moves such that you end up between the shade and the sun, it appears, if Allah wills, that there is no harm in it, because you did not intentionally sit between the shade and the sun.

The questioner : May Allah forgive you, O Shaykh.
