Is there a preference for changing the place of prayer from one location to another?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : As for prostration, if he caught up with the imam’s forgetfulness, it is obligatory for him to prostrate after the taslim. If the imam forgot before this latecomer joined him, he owes no prostration.

The questioner : How does he know whether it was before or after?

The Shaykh : Huh?

The questioner : How does he know that he forgot before the ma'mum? How does he know that the imam forgot before the ruku'?

The Shaykh : He knows this if he joined him in the second rak'ah. The latecomer joined in the second rak'ah, and the imam prostrated three times in this second rak'ah out of forgetfulness. Now he knows that he caught up with the forgetfulness?

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh : Fine, but if there was no defect after he joined him, he owes no prostration.

The questioner : If the defect is in the secret recitation, such as forgetting the tasbih or Subhan Rabbi al-Azim.

The Shaykh : Forgetting the tasbih means the prostration is before the taslim.

The questioner : May Allah reward you with good.

The Shaykh : Yes, on the left... Did you take a question from before in the recording?

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh : What are you hiding from us? Wait until those who have not taken [questions] are finished. Yes.
The left, the left, or the right?
The student: The left.

The Shaykh : Come on, the left.

The questioner : Your Eminence, the Shaykh, is there a preference for changing the place of prayer from one location to another?

The Shaykh : I mean, if one performed the obligatory prayer in one place, is it better to pray the voluntary prayer in another place?
Answer: All voluntary prayers are better performed in the house. All voluntary prayers are better performed in the house. And based on this, if we say it is better to perform them in the house, what does this imply?
The student: Changing [the place].

The Shaykh : Changing [the place]. But if a person fears that if he goes to the house he might forget, or something might happen, or it would be difficult for him to perform wudu' or something similar, he prays in the mosque. The scholars said it is better to change the place if possible, and they cited as evidence the hadith of Mu'awiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said:
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded us not to connect one prayer to another until we go out or speak. أمرنا رسول الله صلّى الله عليه وسلّم ألاّ نصل صلاة بصلاة حتى نخرج أو نتكلّم
This is so that there is a distinction between the obligatory and the voluntary prayer. For this reason, and Allah knows best, it is prescribed for a person, when he recites al-Fatihah aloud, to pause briefly so that it becomes clear that the first recitation is obligatory and the second is voluntary. Yes, did you understand, Zayn, or not? Did you understand, O questioner?

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh : Very well.
