Benefits of the Hadith: (… from Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Allah does not look at the one who drags his garment out of arrogance”)

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : His statement:
Allah does not look لا ينظر الله
. Looking is of two types: looking with pleasure and mercy, and this is what is negated in this hadith.
And looking with perception and awareness, and this is not negated, for nothing prevents Allah the Exalted from His looking, so nothing is hidden from Allah on earth or in the heavens, and Allah encompasses everything. But looking with pleasure and mercy is negated for the one who drags his garment out of arrogance. And "garment" here is a singular noun with a possessive, so it encompasses everything that is worn, such as a shirt, trousers, and a waistcloth.
Now, we say: And a cloak?

The Shaykh : ... .

The Shaykh : Yes? Yes, we say: And a cloak. Yes, that is correct.
And this hadith, as you see, has an explicit text and an implied meaning. So the one who drags his garment out of arrogance, Allah does not look at him, and the one who drags it not out of arrogance, this threat is not established for him, but another threat comes, which is:
But whatever is lower than the ankle is in the Fire ما أسفل من الكعبين ففي النار
Sunan Ibn Majah 3573Sahih (Darussalam)
. Yes, that is correct. Yes?
