Benefits of the Hadith: (… Hudhayfah was in al-Mada’in and asked for water, so a Zoroastrian brought him water in a silver vessel, and he threw it at him and said…)

The Shaykh : In this hadith, there is evidence for the permissibility of possessing a silver vessel without using it, because the existence of the vessel was not condemned; rather, what was condemned was that he drank from it.
And in it is evidence for the strength of the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) in the cause of Allah, where he threw this Zoroastrian with the vessel; he threw it at him.
