The questioner : There is a distance between me and the mosque in the village. When the mu'adhdhin calls to prayer without a loudspeaker, I do not hear the call, so I pray at home. When the mu'adhdhin calls with a loudspeaker, I hear the call and immediately respond by going to the mosque. What is the opinion of His Eminence the Shaykh?

The Shaykh : I see that you should pray in the mosque, because it appears that you are close to this questioner. So if he knows that the mu'adhdhin has called, let him pray. And if he prays in his home, there is no blame on him, because he did not hear the mu'adhdhin except through the loudspeaker, so he would not be disobedient to the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
Whoever hears the call and does not respond, he has no prayer, except one who has an excuse. من سمع النداء فلم يجب فلا صلاة له إلا من عذر
Sahih Ibn Hibban 10:352
. Yes.

The questioner : May Allah reward you.
