The Meaning of the Hadith "Three Things Follow the Dead Person..."

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
(The hadith "Three things follow the dead person...") As far as I know: three follow, and two return?

Answer:
Two return: his family and his wealth, and his deeds remain.
Q: So, by "deeds" here, you mean...?
A: The deeds remain. Even if his brothers, his father, his mother, and his slaves are with him, they all return. They do not benefit him except if they make du'a' for him and seek forgiveness for him. Only his righteous deeds benefit him.
Sweet greenery: For most people, they find comfort in it and enjoy it, yet it is blameworthy and cursed, except for the remembrance of Allah and what is associated with it, and a scholar and a student. However, for the majority of creation, it is sweet greenery to them; they are occupied with it and deceived by it—may Allah grant us safety. So there is no contradiction. Charity remains, and knowledge remains, while his family and wealth return. Nothing remains for him except what they gave in charity on his behalf, or knowledge he left behind. If they give charity on his behalf and make du'a' for him, that benefits him. Charity benefits before death and after death; all of it is beneficial.
