Continuation of the explanation of the chapter: The Blowing of the Trumpet. Mujahid said: The Trumpet is in the form of a horn.

The Shaykh : There is no need to debate this, but the matters of the Shari'ah are what we are obligated to deal with, and we focus a little on this issue. Aisha said, "O Messenger of Allah, will men and women look at one another?" He said, "The matter is greater than that you should be concerned with it; it is not a matter of looking."
(34) On the Day a man will flee from his brother (35) And his mother and his father (36) And his wife and his children, (37) For every man, that Day, will be a matter adequate for him. يوم يفر المرء من أخيه وأمه وأبيه وصاحبته وبينيه لكل امرئ منهم يومئذ شأن يغنيه
['Abasa 80:34-37]
So when the Horn is blown, no relationship will there be among them that Day, nor will they ask about one another. فإذا نفخ في الصور فلا أنساب بينهم يومئذ ولا يتساءلون
[Al-Mu'minun 23:101]
No one will know anyone else. In fact, a person will say,
A man flees يفر المرء
Some of the Salaf said: "Because these relatives, each one of them fears that he has a right owed to his relative, so he flees from him" So she (may Allah be pleased with her) did not ask how they will stand up, how they will stand up, in an instant, and quickly; she did not ask. Indeed, Allah is Able over all things. And when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) spoke about the Dajjal and said that he will remain on the earth for forty days, a day like a year, a day like a month, a day like a week, and the rest of his days like your days, they did not say, "O Messenger of Allah, how like a year? How does the sun run in one way? How does it delay until it becomes a year?" But if this happened in this time, they would debate this, just as they debate how he descends to the lowest heaven in the first third of the night, and the third, and where do they go for other people? And what did they ask about? They asked about the prayer, which is what a person is obligated to perform. They said, "Is one day's prayer sufficient for us in that day which is like a year?" Look at the difference between us and them. If this hadith had occurred in this time, everyone would come asking how the sun is and how it changes, how it sits for a full year without crossing the horizon, when usually it is in twenty-four hours. Yes, but this is not a response to the Companions, because they know that the matters of the universe, determination, and power are beyond our capacity and our imagination, beyond our capacity and our imagination. This soul between our sides, we do not know what it is.
It will be only one shout فإنما هي زجرة واحدة
[As-Saffat 37:19]
On the Day of Resurrection
And suddenly they will be [alert] upon the earth's surface. فإذا هم بالساهرة
[An-Nazi'at 79:14]
All people, one shout, Allah (Mighty and Majestic) shouts at them, and they come out immediately. In this world, we see the plant when it wants to grow; it rises from the earth a little, it cracks, then slowly until it grows. But on that day, one word brings them out of the graves, even if the depth of the grave is seventy cubits; they come out at once. The Companions did not ask about this, they did not ask, because the matters of the universe, determination, and power are not within the capacity of a person. And this is what I want us to understand, and to stand before it as Muslims, submitting. But the matters of the Shari'ah, it is fine to ask, the matters of the Shari'ah that concern us and that we are obligated to deal with, we ask, as the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) did. Yes.

The questioner : Shaykh.

The Shaykh : Did we not read a hadith? Well, the important thing is that we mentioned that the scholars differed regarding the Trumpet, regarding the blowing of the Trumpet, whether it is two times or three times. And what appears to me is that it is only two times. The first time involves terror and fainting, and the second time involves resurrection. Because this is what came in detail in Surat al-Zumar, clarified. And there is no contradiction between terror and fainting, so a person is terrified, and his terror may be severe, cutting the hearts. Yes.
The reader: Abdul Aziz ibn Abdullah narrated to me, he said: Ibrahim ibn Sa'd narrated to me from Ibn Shihab from Abu Salama
The Shaykh : Well, in it, it says the Trumpet is in the form of a horn. Do you know the horn?
The Reader: Yes.

The Shaykh : How is he?
The reader: The shepherds' horn

The Shaykh : The shepherds' horn
The reader: Curved

The Shaykh : Curved, blown into like a horn. For this reason, it was reported in some athar that the Trumpet is a great horn, its size is like the distance between the sky and the earth, because all the souls, by the permission of Allah, gather in it. All the souls, the souls of the happy and the wretched gather in this. So when it is blown into, the souls come out of it. And in some athar, the souls of the believers shine with light, and the souls of the disbelievers are darkness, refuge with Allah, until every soul goes to its body that it inhabited in this world. It never misses it, despite the multitude of people whom only He who created them, Allah (Mighty and Majestic), can count. A soul does not miss its body from this soul. Allah is the Helper. From this horn they come out. Well, and it says one blast. A blast means a shout. They are shouted at until they come out at once. Ibn Abbas said: "When it is struck in the Trumpets, the Trumpet, and struck is blown"
(9) That Day will be a difficult day (10) For the disbelievers - not easy. فذلك يومئذ يوم عسير ، على الكافرين غير يسير
[Al-Muddaththir 74:9-10]
For the disbelievers - not easy. على الكافرين غير يسير
[Al-Muddaththir 74:10]
And for the believers
The reader: Easy

The Shaykh : Easy. And this indicates His saying, the Exalted, regarding that, also His saying, the Exalted:
And it will be upon the disbelievers a difficult Day. وكان يوما على الكافرين عسيراً
[Al-Furqan 25:26]
And it was a day for the disbelievers difficult. So this day, in that it is a day, is difficult without doubt, hard, great, but it is easy for the believer. To the extent that it was reported in some athar that it is like a prescribed prayer, meaning just as the believer performs the prescribed prayer, all this day, fifty thousand years, is like the performance of a prescribed prayer for the believer. May Allah make us and you among them. Well, the Trembler is the first blast, and the Follower is the second:
(6) On the Day the blast [of the Horn] will convulse [creation], (7) There will follow it the subsequent [one]. يوم ترجف الراجفة تتبعها الرادفة
[An-Nazi'at 79:6-7]
Yes.
