The Reciter: Chapter: The saying of the Exalted and Majestic:
Indeed, the convulsion of the [final] Hour is a terrible thing.
[Al-Hajj 22:1]
.
The Hour has drawn near
.
The Hour has drawn near
Yusuf ibn Musa narrated to us, and Jarir narrated to us from al-A'mash from Abu Salih

The Shaykh : The saying of Allah the Exalted and Majestic:
Indeed, the convulsion of the [final] Hour is a terrible thing.
[Al-Hajj 22:1]
This is the remainder of the verse. Allah said in it:
(1) O mankind, fear your Lord. Indeed, the convulsion of the [final] Hour is a terrible thing. (2) On the Day you see it every nursing mother will be distracted from that [child] she was nursing, and every pregnant woman will abort her pregnancy, and you will see the people [appearing] intoxicated while they are not intoxicated; but the punishment of Allah is severe.
[Al-Hajj 22:1-2]
The scholars have differed regarding this earthquake: is it on the Day of Resurrection, or is it the earthquake that occurs before the blowing of the Trumpet? Some said the former, stating that this earthquake occurs on the Day of Resurrection and refers to the trembling of hearts and minds and their agitation. Others said it is in this world and is a physical earthquake that shakes the earth with them, and at that time they believe or become certain that it is the Hour. Then the Trumpet is blown, and they are terrified and die. These people supported their opinion with the saying of the Exalted:
On the Day you see it every nursing mother will be distracted from that [child] she was nursing
[Al-Hajj 22:2]
Every nursing woman. When the taa appears in "marid'ah" (nursing woman), it indicates the action, not the description, unlike when the taa is removed, in which case it
The Reciter: indicates the description

The Shaykh : indicates the description, meaning you say a woman is marid' (nursing) and a woman is marid'ah (nursing). The difference between the two is that the first is a description, and the second
The Reciter: is an action

The Shaykh : is an action. Marid'ah means her child is currently nursing from her, unlike the first, marid', where if the child is in his bed, she is marid' because it is a description. They said that the saying of the Exalted:
Every nursing woman
indicates that there is someone actually nursing.
and every pregnant woman will abort her pregnancy
[Al-Hajj 22:2]
indicates that there is a pregnancy actually being delivered. This does not exist in the Hereafter. There is no doubt that this supports the opinion that it is an earthquake that occurs at the end of this world. And His saying:
The Hour has drawn near
The Hour has drawn near
, "The Hour has drawn near": means it has come close, the near one, and it is the Hour. Allah the Exalted said:
(57) The Approaching Day has approached. (58) Of it, [from those] besides Allah, there is no remover.
[An-Najm 53:57-58]
And He said:
And what do you know? Perhaps the Hour is near
And in the verses cited by the author:
The Hour has drawn near
Thus, the Hour is the Hour. Yes.
