Is it permissible to pray after Fajr and after 'Asr?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Is it permissible to pray after Fajr and after 'Asr?

The Shaykh : If one intends to pray after Fajr and after 'Asr, once the times have entered, it is permissible. However, if one intends to pray after the 'Asr prayer and after the Fajr prayer, meaning after the two obligatory prayers, it is not permissible. It is not permissible for a person to perform a voluntary prayer after the Fajr prayer until the sun rises and is raised by the length of a spear, nor to perform a voluntary prayer after the 'Asr prayer until the sun sets.
As for the obligatory prayer, one should pray it whenever one remembers it, even if it is in a time of prohibition.
As for the voluntary prayer that has a cause, such as the greeting of the mosque, the scholars have differed regarding it:
Some of them said: It is permissible after the Fajr prayer and after the 'Asr prayer.
And some of them said: It is not permissible. The correct view is that it is permissible, and that every voluntary prayer that has a cause is permissible to perform in a time of prohibition, such as the greeting of the mosque, the two rak'ahs of tawaf, the two rak'ahs of istikharah for what is missed, and the eclipse prayer according to the view that it is a recommended practice, and the like of that.
