The questioner : If Allah sends down punishment upon you, the punishment strikes... then they are resurrected according to their deeds. How is this reconciled with His saying, the Exalted:
and no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another ولا تزر وازرة وزر أخرى
[Al-An'am 6:164]

The Shaykh : This is a general statement regarding this world. As for the Hereafter, everyone is judged according to their intention. However, in this world, everyone is punished because, in most cases, no one is free from the negligence of others.
