Explanation of the Book of Fitnahs and Rulings-04a

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: Musaddad narrated to us, Yahya narrated to us, Isma'il narrated to us, and Qays said to me: Al-Mughirah ibn Shu'bah said to me:
No one asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about the Dajjal more than I did, and he said to me: "What harm will he do to you?" I said: "Because they say that he has a mountain of bread and a river of water." He said: "He is easier for Allah than that."
.

The Shaykh : In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
The chapter on mentioning the Dajjal. "Al-Dajjal" is an intensive form derived from "dajal," which means deception and lying, or it is a descriptive term like "al-banna" (the builder), "al-najjar" (the carpenter), and "al-haddad" (the blacksmith). In reality, it is valid to consider it both a descriptive term and an intensive form, because in relation to the time associated with him, it is a descriptive term, and in relation to the actions that occur from him, it is an intensive form. This Dajjal is from among the children of Adam, and his trial is the greatest trial that has befallen the children of Adam since the creation of Adam until the Hour. For this reason, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded us to seek refuge in Allah from him in every prayer. He will appear in the end times, and Allah will test people with him, because he will emerge and claim to be the Lord, and he will be given signs that constitute a trial, because he will command the sky and it will rain, and he will command the earth and it will grow, and he will command the sky and it will withhold, and he will command the earth and it will become barren. This is a test from Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He). For this reason, the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
If he appears while I am among you, then I am his champion on your behalf; otherwise, Allah is my successor over every Muslim. إن يخرج وأنا فيكم فأنا حجيجه دونكم وإلا فالله خليفتي على كل مسلم
Here, Al-Mughirah ibn Shu'bah asked; he used to ask the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) frequently about the Dajjal, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would say to him:
What worries you about him?" I said, "Because the people say that he will have a mountain of bread and a river of water with him ما يضرك منه قلت لأنهم يقولون إن معه جبل خبز ونهر ماء
Sahih al-Bukhari 7122
meaning that he will satisfy those who follow him and quench their thirst, and he will starve those who oppose him and make them thirsty. He said:
He is too insignificant before Allah for that. هو أهون على الله من ذلك
Sunan Ibn Majah 4073Sahih (Darussalam)
But despite that, Allah will test people with him with a worldly trial.
