Is it permissible for me to recite from the Qur'an and enter the sacred precinct during that period when the blood returned to me, or not?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Is it permissible for me to recite from the Qur'an and enter the sacred precinct during that period when the blood returned to me, or not?

The Shaykh : Now the matter has passed, but if it were to recur.

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh : If it recurs, and if we rule that it is menstruation such that it returned and continued as regular menstruation continues, and it is also of the nature of menstrual blood, then it is not permissible for her to enter the sacred precinct. As for recitation, reciting the Qur'an, the stronger position in our view is that a menstruating woman is not prevented from reciting the Qur'an if she needs to do so.

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh : For example, because she is a teacher who teaches girls.

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh : Or a student who wants to take an exam or fears forgetting, then there is no blame on her in reciting the Qur'an in that case.

The questioner : By carrying the mushaf or from memory?

The Shaykh : Yes, from memory or by looking at it.

The questioner : May Allah reward you.
